Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 June 2026

The short version: Airward analyses your own Wi-Fi network entirely on your Mac. Your device inventory and network data never leave your computer, and pxlsec runs no telemetry. The only personal data we ever receive is what's needed to sell you a license (handled by our payment provider).

Who we are

Airward is a macOS application made by pxlsec ("we", "us"). For privacy questions, contact hello@pxlsec.com.

Data the app processes — and where it stays

When running, Airward inventories the devices on the Wi-Fi network you are connected to. This may include IP and MAC addresses, hostnames, hardware vendors, open ports, and the Wi-Fi network's name (SSID), identifier (BSSID), security type and channel.

All of this is stored locally on your Mac. It is never transmitted to pxlsec or any third party. We operate no servers that receive your network data and collect no analytics or telemetry by default.

Location permission

macOS only reveals a Wi-Fi network's SSID/BSSID to apps that hold Location permission. Airward requests it solely to read the current network's identifiers for rogue-access-point detection. Your geographic location is never stored, logged, or transmitted.

Purchases & licensing

Payments and license keys are handled by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy, which processes your payment details and email address. We receive your email and license key in order to deliver and validate your purchase. When you activate a license, the app contacts Lemon Squeezy's licensing service with your license key only — never your network data.
